Who we are
Props4Peds is a non-for-profit organization launched by two siblings, Nicholas and Mary Gioules, to provide opportunities and support to children with challenges, so they can pursue active lifestyles through physical fitness and competitive athletics.
Nicholas & Mary believe that participation in sports at any level builds self-esteem, increases independence and enhances the quality of life of children. Helping young children with disabilities has been a passion of each of theirs ever since they were children.

“I initiated the creation of this non-for-profit organization with my sister to provide athletic opportunities to children with disabilities as they are often overlooked. Sports activities for children with disabilities are hard to find. They should be able to participate in sports and activities that they desire, just like their peers. I have always had a passion for helping special needs children as I grew up being surrounded by these children at my mother’s therapy office in Queens, NY. It opened my eyes that I need to do something to facilitate their skills to develop physically, demonstrate courage and sports acuity, and have fun.”

“As the co-founder of this organization, my brother and I share the same goal- to help children strengthen their minds and bodies while doing what they love. I have been an athlete all my life, and have always wanted to use my skills to help the children who I grew up around to be their best selves. I also have a passion to bring the sport I love (lacrosse) to young girls from various communities that do not have easy access to it.”
We started this organization during the pandemic when many of our sports were cancelled. We had to overcome many setbacks and delays because of the pandemic but we succeeded in opening up our organization. We have children from various areas join each event and look forward to growing.
